Burt’s Bees Lipstick | Review

Burt's Bees lipstick review | brandie-sellers.com

Earlier in the month, I saw a blog post about Burt’s Bees lipstick. It’s not often I buy lip color anymore since I’m trying to whittle down my collection, but considering I’m moving more towards natural based beauty products and maybe needed a good Spring lip color anyway, you couldn’t imagine how excited I was to get my hands on these! I’m sure we’ve all admired a Burt’s Bees product over the years, so seeing the new lipsticks made me want to revisit the brand.

First off, lets talk packaging. I’m a sucker for good packaging, especially if it’s unique. I love the honey comb look with the lip color peaking through! Truthfully, just the packaging alone was enough to make me want to check these out. The honey comb is such a smart way to display the color and honor the Burt’s Bees name.

The Burt’s Bees lipsticks already have a fair color range and I picked colors that would be best worn from Spring all the way through the Summer: Blush Basin, Sunset Cruise, and Ruby Ripple.

I noticed at the first swipe of lipstick that they have amazing color payoff and they’re fairly moisturizing. I would suggest a lip liner to go along with these as the color does fade, naturally, after drinking that magical cup of coffee in the morning. However, I’ve been known to wipe some of it off because, truth be told, I don’t really love how I can taste the lipstick or how it smells. I do think I’ve gotten used to it over the last few weeks of wearing them though. This was probably the biggest disappointment of the whole experience.

Overall, I’d have to say that the lipstick colors are beautiful and I might be considering going back to the line to purchase a few more colors to add to my Fall beauty collection.

Have you tried these lipsticks out yet? What was your experience?
