The first fluffy snowflakes of the year are due to fall this coming weekend! I find snowy days magical. They’re even extra magical when I have nothing on the agenda and I can watch nature put on a little show that makes the tree branches glisten like diamonds. The world seems to slow down and gets more quiet. All you hear is a gentle breeze in the air.

I’m not exactly a little snow bunny, so no playing in the snow for me (although I’ve done the occasional snowboarding!). I’ll take a warm drink in an adorable mug, a book, my journal, a blanket, and Pinterest to keep me company! And maybe a kitty named Peaches, too!
It’s obvious I enjoy simple things in life that are easy to attain. Making your own happiness – no matter the season or weather, big or small – is such an important thing! One of those simple things easy to acquire is looking at images that make you feel inspired, gets your whimsical imagination going, or makes you feel so warm you’re glowing from the inside out! That’s one reason I turn to Pinterest. There’s so much of all of that just a pin away! Here are some wintry pins that I find inspiring or cozy that you can add to your own board! I love home-y looking pins where you see the glow of the lights in the windows or it makes you wish you could jump right in the picture. Enjoy!

So do I! She is so pretty and such a sweet cat! Also I love snow, but living here in eastern North Carolina we don’t get much snow here, though we did get about 2 inches in January 2021. I really enjoy the beautiful snow pictures too. Thank you for the beautiful inspirations! Mary Kaldahl
